Martin De Thurah’s video was shot with a tiny crew in an old building in Mexico City while the pair had a two-hour break in the middle of filming “The Bad in Each Other”. “We had a window of opportunity to shoot something else, which never happens,” De Thurah told NOWNESS. “I had thought about making something very simple, complex and emotional with Leslie alone. I found the song very intimate, and wanted the video to reflect that.”

“On a lunch break there, Martin said, “We’re going to make another video for you for ‘Anti-Pioneer’. I was like, ‘what?” He said, “yeah, we brought some extra lights and we’re going to use this wallpaper and it’s going to beautiful, black and white, all silhouettes. It will take us 20 minutes. Let’s do it.’ So on the lunch break he made this other video happen, super DIY; it’s just simple, simple, simple and really beautiful.”
