Donning custom capes with percussion sewed into them, Feist brought a 7-piece band, including Mocky and Gonzales, to play at the base of Whistler for the 2010 Winter Olympics Medals Ceremony. She also debuted two new songs, “Comfort Me” and “He Was Free”. “Comfort Me” later appeared on Metals.

“I was also in the opening ceremonies of the 1988 Olympics when I was 12. A thousand kids rehearsed for two years to make topographical shapes of Olympic events, like 80 kids would run this way and 80 kids would run that way in a line and make the skis move, on a figure that’s made up of another 500 kids. It was pretty formative to take that on as a kid.”
